The Name Behind the Brand
The name Nawasaki is a testament to strength, resilience, and transformation. It emerged during a period when our co-founder Nadja was bullied and called "Nawasaki" as an insult due to her Asian heritage and passion for Japanese culture. What was once used to hurt and belittle became something entirely different.
Instead of letting it be a source of despair, Nadja chose to reclaim the name and transform it into a symbol of empowerment. By combining her own name with "Kawasaki," she created something powerful—a brand that stands for confidence, metamorphosis, and the strength to turn adversity into triumph. Today, Nawasaki stands as a radiant beacon for inclusivity and pride in diverse backgrounds and interests.
